Financial literacy is now set to become a core part of the national curriculum for the first time in primary! 🧠💡
 
I’m proud that Labour’s Curriculum and Assessment Review will be equipping kids with the knowledge and skills they need to achieve and thrive.
 
Just the day before the announcement I chaired a roundtable on ‘Financial Education and Assessment’ that brought together fellow MPs, Young Enterprise and AQA.
 
We discussed how we can better equip young people with the confidence and capability to manage their money and make informed financial decisions.
 
Supporting young people to build the numeracy and financial skills they need for life is so important, and I will continue to engage with Ministers, key organisations, and schools on how best to deliver this.
