My words to the buses bill committee this week (1st July)
I’m proud to serve on the Buses Bill Committee in Parliament right now. This is a real opportunity to push for improvements in how our bus routes are planned and delivered, giving Leicestershire County Council more powers to improve our services, especially in rural and semi-rural areas like ours.

Lovely to be out doorknocking in Kegworth earlier today, always great to chat with residents.
I also had the pleasure of popping into the Kegworth Bowls Club to meet some members ahead of the Open Gardens.
A fantastic community spirit as always, thank you for the warm welcome! ... See MoreSee Less

Wishing our Lionesses the best of luck as they take on France this evening for their first Euros 2025 game!
It was fantastic to be at the send-off game in Leicester last week, with an astounding 7-0 win against Jamaica.
Whilst there, I had a chance to speak to Baroness Sue Campbell, current Chair of England Netball and former Director of Women’s Football at the FA, as well as a government official from DCMS about my campaign around sudden cardiac death in young adults.
To see 25,000 fans attend to support the Lionesses was fantastic, the passion around women’s football now is unmatched. Bring on the Euros ⚽
