This Sunday, every phone in the UK will be sent an emergency alert test that sets off a loud siren notification, even if your phone is on silent. This could cause a risk for women experiencing domestic abuse, as it might reveal hidden phones, often their only lifeline. Visit our YouTube for a step by step guide on how to opt out of these alerts by switching off the notifications within your settings > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch2ifaUislA&feature=youtu.be For women experiencing domestic abuse, a safe phone is a silent phone.

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch with either myself or Cllr Alison Morley about the speeding, anti-social behaviour and just general poor driving along the relief road in Castle Donington.
I am due to meet with the police later in the week to discuss this in more detail, focusing on how we can come to a longer term solution in conjunction with both Leicestershire County Council and North West Leicestershire District Council to reduce the impact on local residents.
You can report car cruising and anti-social behaviour whilst it's taking place to the police on 101 or in an emergency 999, and to North West Leicestershire District Council online via the link in the comments. ... See MoreSee Less
