Have you been affected by airport drop off charges?
Many people travelling to airports like East Midlands have little choice but to arrive by car or taxi due to limited public transport options.
Drop-off fees, confusing payment systems, and the risk of large fines if payments are forgotten can feel unfair and stressful, especially for families, carers, and those travelling at unsociable hours.
I want to hear about your experiences. Whether you’ve struggled with drop-off charges, payment deadlines or fines, your views will help build a clearer picture of how these systems affect everyday travellers.
I have already raised the issue directly with the airport and requested that a pay terminal or a simple QR code be put in the terminal building however that request was refused, based on fraud issues.Â
Ultimately, the current system of airport drop-off charges is unfair. When we factor in inadequate transport infrastructure, the case for regulation becomes even stronger and your views will help to shape my conversations with Ministers and Airports on this issue.Â
