LRRG – The Future of the Rural Economy.
Earlier today, the Labour Rural Research Group launched our newest report: The Future of the Rural Economy.

Having been part of this group since its inception, I’m proud of the work we have done to champion our countryside communities and ensure the rural economy is at the heart of the national conversation.

Semi-Rural areas like ours have enormous economic potential, but too often they are overlooked. By investing in local infrastructure, and supporting the skills our businesses need, we can unlock growth, create jobs, and help farmers, manufacturers, the tourism sector, and other rural businesses thrive.

I remain committed to making the case for policies that back rural businesses and ensure our countryside plays its full part in driving economic growth across the UK.
