After doorknocking back in October in and around the Welsted Road and Heritage Road area, it was clear from speaking with local residents that the bins were not being emptied frequently enough on the estate.Â

I raised the issue with the developers and am pleased they are arranging for a new contractor to empty these more regularly, so we can avoid the overflowing scenes that have been ongoing for long enough.

It might not be a huge issue to some, but for local residents, this was really causing a stink!
This is why I make a point of being out in the community, listening to what matters to you year-round, and addressing everything from complex casework to the smaller issues that still deserve action.
