It was great to welcome the Minister for Industry to North West Leicestershire last week for a roundtable discussion and site visits focused on our logistics hub. The visit included stops at Nestlé’s GXO facility, Kuehne+Nagel, and the Maritime rail freight terminal.
We were also fortunate to see one of the UK’s first megawatt-scale HGV charging facilities and vehicles being trialled, highlighting how the logistics sector is continuing its journey towards decarbonisation.
It was also fantastic to meet Generation Logistics Ambassadors who are at the start of their careers, showcasing the wide range of opportunities the sector has to offer.
